Horse trading not required

Education minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday claimed that Congress and BPF candidates would win the Rajya Sabha poll. He said that no horse trading is required for it.

Addressing a press conference in Dispur, Dr Sarma said that the results would be available on Thursday afternoon day before the poll.

He said that the Opposition only pins hopes on 32 votes. But he said that practically it would hardly be proved. According to him, TMC legislator Dipen Pathak has written commitment to support the Gogoi government in 2011 which will stay.
