CLP meet on Wednesday

The Assam Congress legislative party will meet on Wednesday to discuss the Rajya Sabha polls slated for Friday.

The CLP has invited its alliance BPF legislators to attend the meeting at the Assam Assembly. Congress has two candidates namely Bhuneswar kalita and Dr Sanjay Singh while it backed BPF candidate Biswajeet Daimary.

With the support of three independent candidates, Congress needs two other crucial votes to get the three candidates elected to the Upper House.
