Hundreds of students in Guwahati hit the streets in the city in protest against the Lajpotnagar incident in New Delhi where goons killed an Arunachal Pradesh student.

With placards and banners in their hands, the students in large number shouted slogans demanding measures to curb the increasing incident of racial attack on the north eastern people in the national capital.

Identified as Nido Tania, the student from the neighbouring state was beaten to death by a group of shopkeepers following an altercation in the Lajpotnagar area in the capital on Thursday.
