More than horse trading

Opposition consensus candidate for the upcoming Rajya Sabha polls Haidor Hussain accused Congress of trying to kidnap a section of opposition legislators to ensure win in the polls slated for February 7.

Addressing a joint press conference with AIUDF president Badaruddin Ajmal on Saturday in Guwahati, the veteran journalist said that horse trading is unlikely to help the party. This has forced the party to prepare a blueprint where a few legislators would be kidnapped.

He said that he was getting overwhelming response from all quarters after he fielded his nomination papers.

He said that some political parties want him to be fielded in Lok Sabha polls from Koliabor constituency.
