No move for poll pact: Mahanta

Asom Gana Parishad is well prepared to go it alone  in the Lok Sabha polls. Party president Prafulla Kumar Mahanta told reporters in Guwahati on Saturday that BJP has yet to formally approach them for any alliance for the upcoming polls. He, however, said that AGP is interested to forge any alliance with regional parties only.

His statement assumes significance hours after state BJP held a crucial meeting in Tezpur to chalk out poll strategies where the move for poll pact with AGP figured.
