Tea estate manager freed

Suspected NDFB-S have freed a tea garden manager 9 days after he was kidnapped from his house in Sonitpur district.

Identified as Bharat Singh Rathorh, the Pabhoi Tea Estate manager in Tinisuti area in Bisswanath Chaliali was released along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border on Tuesday night.

Hours after the release, he reached the local police station seeking help to leave for the tea garden on Wednesday. He was kidnapped by a group of 10 armed youths at gunpoint on January 16 from his own residence.
