Trader shot dead

Murder and mayhem refuses to die down in Kokrajhar even amid a full scale operation against the insurgents in BTAD areas.

Suspected KLO militants shot dead a businessman in Kokrajhar on Tuesday. The incident took place in the heart of the town at around 8 in the evening. Armed miscreants sprayed several rounds of bullets on a shop keeper on his way back to his home. The businessman was killed on the spot.

Policemen rushed to the spot. But by then, the militants managed to escape. This is the fifth cases of death in BTAD areas within this week.
