APCC meets to screen candidates

The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee gears up for the Lok Sabha polls. Its poll panel will meet on Tuesday to shortlist the candidates for the general election. To be attended by AICC observer Dr CP Joshi along with Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and APCC president Bhubneswar kalita, the meeting will take place in the evening.

The crucial meeting is expected to prepare panels of candidates out of 138 aspirants for the entire 14 Lok Sabha seats. The panels would be sent to the AICC screening body for final seal of approval from the party high command.
