Missing prof’s body found

Dr Bhagawan Goswami’s body was recovered in Panbazar nine days after the Cotton College professor went missing from Chandmari in Guwahati. His body was spotted floating on the river Brahmaputra just behind the Deputy Commission’s old residence in the afternoon. Later it was identified by the family members.

Sources told Assam Times that the body bore no injury marks and his mobile phone and money bag was recovered inside his jacket. Details would be clear only after the post mortem. Goswami, the senior professor and head of the history department with the Cotton State varsity has been remaining traceless since his son left him in the recent North East Book Fair at the Chandmari AEI playground on January.
