NDFB's Ranjan Daimari faction struck a ceasefire pact with the Centre on Friday which is believed to be of great help to restore peace in BTAD. Union joint home secretary Sambhu Singh represented the Centre in the tripartite in Guwahati where NDFB chairman Ranjan Daimary was present. The Bodo militant agreed to deposit over 40 arms apart from a list of 379 militants who would be kept in 2 designated camps. Daimary told reporters after the talks thata their demands are purely political and hoped the the problem woule be sold politically. ADGP AK Route and home secretary GD Tripathy represented Dispur.
