The crime against women seems to have touched a new low in Assam when a women died after being gangraped in Lakhimpur. The woman died at GMCH on Sunday two days after she was dumped in critical condition at Boginodi area by three youths on her way to take her boy from the school. The critically wounded women couldnot divulge the real story. But injury marks on some particular parts of the body suggested it a case of physical torture and gangrape. On the other hand, thousands of people blocked the national highway in Lakhimpur demanding immediate arrest of the culprits and examplary punishment.
