Despite the much-hyped round-the-clock vigil, rhino poaching refuses to die down in Kaziranga. Poachers have struck again in the national park leaving a full grown rhino killed. The poachers shot dead the rhino in Burhapahar range of the world heritage site on Sunday night. Forest guards from the Borhola camp rushed to spot on hearing the sound of gunfiring. But by then the poachers left the spot leaving the dehorned carcass of the animal. Notably, Kaziranga has already lost 4 2 rhinos at the hands of the poachers during the last eleven months.
