BTAD bandh total

Normal life remains paralyzed in Kokrajhar on Tuesday following the 36-hours BTAD bandh beginning from 5 in the morning. Called by the Undivided Goalpara Indo-Mongolian Youth Front in protest against brutally killing of two youth including a cadre of NDFB (Songbijit faction) and an innocent youth at Audang bazaar under Karigaon police outpost, the bandh evokes full response as soon as it came into force.
All financial institutions, shops and markets remained closed. Schools and colleges refused to open. Vehicles were off from the roads. The youth front appealed to the political leaders to be alert on the role played by the state government. Rahul Brahma alias B Rugung and Anjalu Brahma alias Maru alias Udang were killed in fake encounter during the search operation with security forces at Audang Bazaar in Kokrajhar. Rahul Brahma was hardcore member of NDFB while Anjalu was an innocent villager.
