Pande visits Diphu

An All India Congress Committee general secretary Avinash Pandey is on a visit to Diphu and Kokrajhar to study the statehood demands of various ethnic communities.
 
AICC leader Avinash Pandey held a meeting with the state Congress leaders in Diphu a day before his visit to Goalpara and Kokrajhar districts where the demand for separate Kamtapur and Bodoland states is getting strident.
State party leaders apprised him of the statehood demands of Karbi, Dimasa, Koch Rajbongshi and Bodo communities.
He will submit his findings to Congress president Sonia Gandhi on his return to Delhi.
