Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi on Saturday paid tributes to freedom fighter Swahid Kushal Konwar on the occasion of his 70th death anniversary at Nehru Park in Guwahati. Gogoi paid floral tributes at the statue of the freedom fighter from Assam who had laid down his life for the freedom of the country. Konwar was the only martyr in the country who was hanged during the Quit India Movement of 1942.
