Janak Jhankar Narzari to receive Pranab Baruah Artist Award 2012

The Pranab Baruah Artist Award 2012 will be conferred upon eminent sculptor Janak Jhanhkar Narzari on May 19 at a ceremony at Vivekanada Kendra, Guwahati. The award comprises of a recitation, a memo, copies of artist Pranab Baruah’ art-work and cash of rupees 25,000. Noted artists Shobha Brahama, Benu Misra, Neelpavan Baruah, Nani Barpujari, Chinmoi Roy (Tripura) were among the previous years receivers of the Award. The award was initiated in 2002.
