Awearness camp on food processing at Sivasagar

Sivasagar District Industry and Commerce Centre organised an awearness camp on Food Processing industry at Rangpurjyoti Club of Sivasagar town on  March.21. The event was attended by District Fishery and Animal husbandary officers of Sivasagar, different bank officials of the district  and discussed about the viabality, role of banks, prospects of food processing industry, etc. Presidental award winner lady entripuneur of Jorhat Meghali Borah was present in the event and shared her experience.

ONGC will start its state-of-the-art hospital in Rajabari in December this year.This was what AASU told reporters in Nazira after a meeting with the oil major officials on Thursday.ONGC officials further agreed to implement other promises in the meeting with AASU leaders in Jorhat. The satisfied AASU leaders called off the 100 hour recent strike. HR director DD Mishra, Alok Mishra, VK Barma and executive director of the Assam Asset Budhin Deuri,  Ex.central secretary of AASU Tapan Gogoi, district president Manik Gogoi and district secretary Guvin Phukon attended the meeting.

A handicraft and handloom fair is pulling huge crowd in Nazira where local products seem to have been received good response.People in large number have visited the week long fair at Nazira MC Club from May 5 organized by industry and commerce department.  The focus of attraction was the saler-buyer meet where both sides shared their views.  Talking to Assam Times assistant director of industry department Babul Hazirika said the response was encouraging.
