Melodious evening in Delhi

The Sankardev Bhawan premises in Delhi turned into a nest of singing birds on Sunday when singers---old and young alike mesmerized the packed gathering in the evening. Talking to Assam Times, the organisers said that the function named as Suror Pansoi, aimed at making the young ones familiar with the rich traditional Assamese songs.

Renowned Assamese actor Biju Pukan opened the function where as many as 20 budding and promising singers performed evergreen songs of Dr Bhupen Hazarika, Khagen Mahanta, Charu Gohain, Kula Baruah, Ridip Dutta, Rituparna Sarma, Tulika Senapati.
