Accompanied by APCC president Bhubneswar Kalita, the chief minister met Gandhi at the AICC headquarters at 4-30 in the afternoon and the discussion lasted for nearly an hour. Apart from the Lok Sabha poll preparedness, Gogoi and Kalita are believed to have appraised Gandhi of the dissidence within the Congress legislators. Gogoi, who left for the national capital on Tuesday called on AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh at his residence in the evening and the duo talked dissidence. Guwahati Police has successfully busted a cybercrime gang involved in a major fraud operation. Eight individuals were arrested following a raid at a lodge in Boragaon.
The gang was operating a network of "mule bank accounts" to facilitate the transfer of illegally obtained money. The arrested individuals were involved in opening bank accounts using fake identities and documents. They would then hand over these accounts to cybercriminals who used them to launder money obtained through online scams.
