Abhiruchi Sports Day at Dhupdhara

Along with the rest of the state the 29th Abhiruchi Sports Day was celebrated at Dhupdhara in Goalpara district with the usual fervor on Monday to mark the birthday of Assam’s first Arjuna Award winner Bhogeswar Barua. On the occasion a procession took out throughout Dhupdhara town by the students of Dhupdhara Girls' High School. Several sportsmen, sports organizers and journalists participated in the procession. To mark the day several sports competitions were also organized among the students at Dhupdhara Girls' High School premises. Students of Dhupdhara High School also took out a procession on the occasion.
