All Assam Students Union has warned the government not to allow the immigrants to settle in the name of rehabilitation package. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Sunday, the AASU leaders said that they would keep a close vigil on the rehabilitation works to ensure that not even a single immigrant is allowed to get the benefit.

Bodo must look after themselves, do not fall to sweet talk of Gogoi, Sonia or Shinde. They will butcher Bodos for vote bank. We all know about AIUDF, a terrorist organization. The proposed ULFA-government talks gets a major boost when a TADA court in Guwahati has granted bail to the outfit's chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa on Wednesday. It's an end of the wait. A local TADA court in Guwahati has granted bail to ULFA chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa on Wednesday. Rajkhowa is likley to be released from Guwahati Central Jail on Thursday where he has been languishing for the last one year. The court, however, has passed a slew of strictures for the ULFA chief to be followed. The court has asked Rajkhowa not to leave the country without prior permission. He was further asked not to misuse the bail granted to him.
