BJP president Nitin Gadkari on Monday slammed Congress accusing it of using Bangladeshi immigrant for vote bank politics in Assam. Talking to reporters in Agra, Gadkari alleged that the ruling party has politicized the entire conflict for its political gain. He said that the population of the Bangladeshis immigrants increased by 80 per cent and that the Bangladeshis completely occupied the state and managed to purchase property there.

Another fellow man defending his country man. If i migrate to America legally or illegally,I might be discriminated or attacked physically so I do not expect liberty or security being in foreign land. If I feel I am discriminated or will be killed I will return to my roots.

Atleast 10 people sustained injury when Ulfa blew out an oil rig in Tinsukia on Saturday. Fire tenders took three hours to douse the fire. Meanwhile Ulfa has claimed the responsibility of the attack on OIL-owned rig. Tension erupted near Konadhara in Guwahati following the sudden death of a person at a n road accident on Friday.
