For the polling of Assambly election 2009, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh established 2 polling stations namely 13 no. Nahoroni and 14 no. Hasirusa polling stations inside Assam, at Kanubari under Charaideo Subdivision of Sivasagar District. Polling were also held in these disputed polling stations on Otober 13 for the 58 no. There is no sufficient doctor and staff at 200 bedded Sivasagar Civil Hospital. The hospital, situated at Joysagar, is the main hospital of the District and hundreds of people come daily for treatment. There is only one radiologist in the hospital and it is impossible for him to provide 24-hours service. So, patients have to go to private laboratories. Shortage of doctors, nurses and other staff is another big problem here. Peoples of the district have been demanding appointment of required numbers of doctors, nurses and other staff immediately.
