Anti-erosion scheme from launched Dikhow


Foundation stone of anti-erosion protection scheme at Dikhow river, near Achala Pathar-Dihingia Gaon, was laid down by Rajib Luson Pegu, Water Resource Minister of Assam. The total estimate for this scheme is Rs.6.80 crore. According to the technical specification, 500 meters dyke with modern geo-tube technology and 1300 meters embankment will be constructed under this scheme.

Simoluguri Police, in a tip-off, seized the several cartons of Tez guthka packets amounting to Rs.24,000 from one Juri Begum of Santak, Bogdai Gaon who brought the gutkhas to Santak from Jorhat on September 20.
