Shradhanjoli to Bhupen Hazarika and Mamoni Roisom at Kalugaon on January 22-23
“Kalugaon Samonoy Sangskritik Samaj” and “Mukul Sahitya Sabha, Shaloguri” are jointly organising a “Shradhanjoli” programme of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika and Dr. Mamoni Roisom Goswami at Kalugaon Girls High School on January 22-23. There will be competition of fine-arts, bhupendra sangeet and recitation of poetry with two sections in two days event.
On first day, the famous play “Shukunir Pratishudh” of late Ganesh Gogoi, and on the 2nd day, “Angikar” by late Prafulla Bora will be staged.
This is disclosed by the secretary of the organising committee, Nironjon Barua.

The 63rd republic day is celebrated at Nazira by the administration and the Assam Asset, ONGC. Emon Chetia Phukon of Sepon,a student of Class VI at Delhi Public school, Guwahati, wins third position in the national level fine-arts competition held at Delhi on January 21. The competition was organised jointly by Ministry of Water and Ministry of Soil Conservation. Students from 19 states participated in this competition.
