Delay in fund release to the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council is the prime hindrance of development in the district of Dima Hasao opined conscious citizen of the district.
It is learnt that the fund for the DHAC was to be released in two installments, once in April/May and other in September/October but the DHAC never gets the fund in time resulting to immense difficulties. The 2nd installment of 2009-2010 was not received by the DHAC, while the 1st Installment of 10-11 is also yet to receive till now. In fact, the development works like road construction, plantation etc are seasonal and these are to be done in time other wise these become useless and the fund meant for these works either lapsed or misused.
