Shri Kamal Gogoi, a man amongst men was a man who stood by his principles. He took part in the Indian Freedom struggle as a teenager, left a cushy government job replete with enormous incentives to pursue his passion for journalism, never asked anybody for favours and stood for ethical journalism throughout his life. As he believed journalism was the one mode by which our society could become aware the insensitivities suffered by the unfortunate of our society. Towards the end of his life he suffered from immense financial stress however never the one to bow his head down he left for the heavenly abode true to his morales peacefully in his sleep.
