Rongali Bihu Utsav 2011 at Mumbai


Assam Association, Mumbai (AAM) is going to organise Rongali Bihu Utsav 2011 at two venues. The details are as follows:



1) Date: Saturday 16April 2011, Timing 6-10pm



Venue: Ganapati Maidan,Behind Gakuldham Shopping Market, Opp Dindoshi Bus Depot, Goregaon (E),



Contribution: Rs 500 (per family) or Rs 150 (individual)



NB: Limited dinner packet will be available at venue.

An unidentified call has created a flutter in the entire Golaghat town on Friday forcing the authorities to beef up security measures. According to information, a Bar Association member Sashanka Tamuly has received an unidentified telephone call at 1 pm on Friday. The caller has threatened to blow up all the offices in the town barring the Apex Bank. As soon as the message spread like wild fire, the authorities are fanning police and para military troops in the town to launch a vigorous search operation. The city police aresed two ULFA cadres from the Latashil area on Thursday. They are known to be Krishna Bodo and Thaneswar Deka alias Illias. Four poachers have been arrested during a stepped up anti poaching operation launched by police, CRPF and forest officials, four poachers have been arrested from a hotel in Diphu on Wednesday.
