Cultural Function of Assam by Assam Association of Mumbai

The Assam Association, Mumbai organizes a cultural
function of traditional Assamese music and dance to be
performed by reputed artists specially invited from Assam
on Sunday 23rd September 2007 at Assam Bhawan,
Vashi, from 4 pm to 7 pm. Those cultural items were
created by Sri Sri Sankardeva, the greatest cultural and
social reformer of NE India.
On this occasion, the association takes the pleasure to
invite you and your associates/journalists to make this
event a success. We shall be grateful, if you kindly grant

It was very nice to get the news about the celebration of greatest saint of Asom Srimanta Sankardev, who was the founder of basic culture and peace in Assam, which is still followed to maintain our strong history.

Mohammedan Sporting Club win Independence Cup

Mohammedan Sporting Club of Kolkata won the Independence Ccup football title beating last year's champion BSF, Jalandhar 3-2, via tie break, in the final held at Nagaon on Thursday. Expansion of National Highway 52

Assam lift NE Challenge Cup hockey title

Assam lifted the NE Challenge Cup Hockey title defeating favourite Manipur by 2-0 in the final held at Md Tayabulla hockey stadium at Vetapara on Wednesday.M Ramen Singh drew the first blood in the 15th minutes of the match while Y Holendra Singh increased the margin just six minutes later. ULFA's liberation struggle
