Both ULFA and the government are gearing up for the proposed peace talk.As part of the spadeworks,ULFA leaders would be allowed to procure bail.The government would help the top leaders procure bail at the earliest.Three top ULFA leaders on Monday have moved the court to seek bail after they received green signal from Dispur. Senior ULFA leader Bhimkanta Burhagohain on Monday moved the court seeking bail as soon as possible. His nephew Chandan Buhagohain moved the bail plea before the Sonitpur district session court on Monday. The is expected to process the petition on Thursday next.
In a similar development,ULFA finance secretary Chitrabon Hazarika and cultural secretary Pranoti Deka also have moved the court on Monday with bail petitions in Guwahati. Deputy commander in chief Raju Baruah has already moved the days a few days. Other ULFA leaders including chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa are also set to follow the suit at any time. The government would not oppose the bail pleae only because of its plan to ensure the talks by December.
