Dr. M. Anga Mathu takes charge as Nagaon DC

Dr. M.Anga Mathu took the charge of new deputy commissioner of Nagaon district on Tuesday. After joining the office, the new deputy commissioner called a press meet, in which he interact with the media persons and discussed on the present day-today problems of the district with the reporters & photojournalists of both national & state media houses and news agencies present there. Addressing to press Dr. Mathu told “ I request the media to highlight the hidden problems of the district and I want cooperation from all of you which will help me to solve the problems.” Moreover he assured that during his tenure he would give more priority to all welfare schemes for the development of the district and also for the benefit of the public. The positive and cooperative attitude of Dr. Mathu was highly appreciated by the media persons.

Silongani Jagrata Unnayan Samaj, a social organization of Naramari Village in Nagaon district organised community Iftaar at Naromari Kothaltoli Anchalik on Monday in which more than 500 people attended. Two persons were killed in a landslide, leaving one seriously injured at Kondoloi Hill, some 20 kms away from Nagaon on yesterday evening. Those deceased are identified as Memo Murha of Kuhiartoli under Nagaon Police station and Fuleswari Das of Parokhowa under Karbi Anglong district of Assam.
