Protest by kerosene hawkers’ in Nagaon

The NH Charitable Trust of Nagaon donated a Maruti Van to Uttar Kamalabari Satra of Majuli on Sunday at a function held at Nurul Amin Stadium, Nagaon. Assam Forest & Tourism Minister Rockybul Hussain as the chief guest attended the function. The other distinguished persons were the Xatradhikar of Uttar Kamalabali Xatra (Majuli) Jannarshan Goswami,the freedom fighter Bharat Ch. Bhuyan, SP Nagaon Nitul Gogoi, and Addl Deputy Commissioner of Nagaon P.K.Rajkhowa.

Antara Kala Kendra, one of the leading classical dance academy of Nagaon organized 4 days summer workshop on Bharatnatyam , under the sponsorship of Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi from July 10 to 14 July. More than 70 students from different parts of the district participated in the workshop,got the blessings of India’s prominent Bharatnatyam exponent Padmashri awardee Dr.Saroja Vaidyanathan of New Delhi, who visited the workshop as an invited facaulty. During a public meeting, where Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi attended in Nagaon,Assam (India) on sunday, some Assam based national and state level photo journalist faced misbehave from a Congress leader.
