Nagaon awaiting Shakuntala Theatre

The Nagaon is going to witnessed one more theatre troupe as ‘Shakuntala Theatre’ is slated to show four different plays starting on 22 February’10 at local Nehru Bali field. The aim is to create social awareness in addition to generate some funds in the favor of ‘Nataional Academy, a Nagaon based school . Truly, beyond creating social value some welfare measure is much appreciated effort by theatre group.


In the play lists Vipul Vashist Goswami ‘Shartar Epahi Phool’ will be directed by Pranjit Das, whereas Bhaskar Ali famous play ‘Train to Pakistan’ is second on the show. Third play is “Moi Ekti Saru Lora’ (Abhijit Bhattacharjee written) will be enacted under Prastali P. Last but not the least one is ‘Sanyasi’ under direction of Rajesh Bhuyan. The all plays will be supported in music section by duo Digant Bharti- Deepak Sharma combine.


NTCH Ltd. Nalbari based group is having Vicky and Arun Hazarika as lead actors in the ongoing show till 24 February evening, which promises a complete entertainment package in itself.

The theatre regime continues to enthrall Nagaon crowd with variety plays each comprising diffferent aspect of life in it. The latest to join the band-wagon here are 'Rajshree Theatre' which is going to host 3 days show from March 25 at local Nehru Bali field. The play to be enacted includes Champak Sarmah's 'Bali', Jiten Sarmah's 'Saraighat' and Hemant Dutt's 'Sapanur Phool'. The music will be composed by Vijaylaxmi-Hemant Thakuria duo.
