Health check up at press club
Guwahati Press Club in association with the Sun Valley Diabetic Care and Research Center, Guwahati has organized a health check up camp for media persons on December 31 next (Thursday). The camp, to be held at the press club premises, will start at 10 am (and continue till 2 pm). Senior surgeon Dr Sudhir Jain with Dr Bikash Bhattacharya, Dr Mukul Bora will attend the camp and be available for consultation. Member-journalists of the press club are encouraged to participate in the camp.

Three city based journalists have been selected for 4th GNRC media fellowship programme. Initiated by GNRC Hospitals in association with Guwahati Press Club, the media fellowships have gone to Prasanta Mena (NE Television), Arup Sandilya (Dainik Janambhumi) and Hemen Barman (Dainik Agradoot). The fellows will get opportunities to study the healthcare scenario in Assam and also remuneration of Rs. 10,000/- per head per month. Electronic Media Forum Asom to meet on Oct 10 at Guwahati Press Club Guwahati: Newly launched ‘Electronic Media Forum Asom’ has organized a meeting at Guwahati Press Club on October 10 to discuss its future course of actions. The meeting will start at 10.30 am.
