2 extremists of KNLF killed

Diphu : Security forces today killed two Karbi Longri North-Cachar-Hills Liberation Force militants at Chokihola under Bokajan police station on Monday morning. Police are yet to identify those militants. Arms, ammunitions, and other objectionable materials were recovered from their possession. Police claim that they were involved in the massacres of the migrants from Bihar that took place at Dolamara Rong Teron village under Shantipur out post of Bokajan police station

Guwahati : ULFA Chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa through a statement on Tuesday invited Bodo rebel organisation, NDFB for dialogues to diffuse the tensions between them on several issues and especially on the tribal policy and the the socio-economic approach.A few days back NDFB chied, Nabla Doimary had expressed his worriedness over the ULFA stand. Nalbari : Suspected ULFA militants kidnapped Bhagawan Das, a DRDA junior engineer from Chamata chowk near Belsor in Nalbari district around 7.20 pm on Saturday. The abductors numbering around 7-8 came in civil fatigue came in a white Maruti van and picked up Mr. Das forcefully and flew away.
