Baihata Chariali Police today apprehended two NDFB cadre from Baihata Chariali. Police has recovered one 9mm Pistol and 7 live rounds from their possession. Names of both the ultras are yet to be disclosed.

The troops of Red Horns of Division of the Indian Army deployed at Changsari under Kamalpur PS in Kamrup district has recovered today 70 Kgs of explosives from Changsari. Acting on specific information army recovered the said explosives. One person has been apprehended in this regard but army has not disclosed the name of the person.
Kamrup Police today recovered 60 detonators from Baihata Charili in Kamrup district. According to the police sources detonators have been recovered from a dhaba acting on specific information. Further investigation is on in this regard.
One student namely Samnur Ali (12) was killed in a road mishap took place today at NH 31 at Kamalpur in Kamrup district of Assam at around 9-45am. According to the police sources Samnur Ali, a student of Kamalpur MV school got severe injury when he was hit by a truck No. WB -41/ 3109 on the way to his school. He breathed his last on the way to GMCH. The truck was seized from Rangia by Kamalpur Police.
Kamrup Police today apprehended one ULFA cadre namely Mintu Kalita (22) from Bamundi under Sualkuchi PS under Kamrup district of Assam. Police has recovered some documents pertaining to ULFA. Mintu was involved with many extortion activities. He is a member of 709 battalion of ULFA.
An ULFA militant namely Ritul Sarma (25) was apprehended today at Haripur village under Kamalpur PS of Kamrup district by Kamrup Police, Troops of Red Horns Division of the Indian Army and CRPF.The militant is under the custody of Kamalpur Police station.

It is to be noted that the name of coke industry comes under high air polluting industries of the world. Coke industries are mainly engaged in purifying coal. But in the process of purifying coal air becomes polluted. Carbon Monoxide and many other toxic gases are left from these industries. According to a survey the whole environment has become polluted in the district . Water and paddy fields have also been affected by the pollution of these coke industries besides heavy air pollution. Kamrup Police apprehended one hardcore ULFA militant namely Nripen Das (29) from Hajo under Kamrup district last night. According to police sources a police team led by Swapnanil Deka,APS, ASP Kamrup launched a search operation acting on specific information and captured the militant. Nripen Das was a cadre of 709 battalion of ULFA and was involved in many activities including extortion.
Kamrup Police today recovered a powerful bomb at Rangia. Acting on specific information a police team led by Sanjukta Parashar,IPS, SDPO,Rangia checked a bus bearing number AS-01G-7298 coming from Darranga Mela towards Rangia and recovered the bomb from the bus. The bomb is one IED and is of 3kg. Later the bomb was defused by Red Horns Engineers Regiment.
