9 Assam candidates clear UPSC exams

Good news. Altogether eight candidates from Assam have cleared the Civil Service Examination, 2008 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. The Commission has already announced the results of the examination on Monday.

According to information, Barnali Dutta, Ashiq-uj-Jaman, Biswajit Pegu, Prakash Borgohain, Pritom Dutta, Shiladitya Chetia, Padmapani Bora, Pallavika Dutta anbd Pallavi Goswami. Details awaited.

Adil Hakim of Australia (in picture) won the boys singles title in the Indian Oil ITF World Junior Ranking Tennis championship at the Chachal Tennis complex on Friday. The Journalists' Forum, Assam has strongly condemned the unfortunate and shameful incident that took place in Guwahati on November 24, Saturday and called it brutal and inhuman. Violinist Sunita Bhuyan performed at the Hindustani music evening of Celebrate Bandra on 24th of November at the Carter Road Promenade, Mumbai. Sunita performed to a packed audience starting with Raag Hangswasdhani followed by Bharat Darshan in Raag Mishra Desh.
