Kero Young arrested in Guwahati

Assam's noted astrologer Amal Das, popularly known as Kero Young was arrested on Sunday by police four days after income tax officials conducted a raid at his residence and business establishments in Guwahati.

According to information, the astrologer was absconding following his implications in tax evasion cases.

Moreover, he was implicated under a few stringent wildlife Acts after the skins and bones of wild animals were recovered by forest officials from his business establishments during the income tax raid before it was sealed.

It is an irony to see this is happening to Assamese youth who never spare a second to flash their latest mobiles,or motorbikes are so foolish to listen to their parents and visit such astrologers. Its a confused modernity.We are modern but still have faith that in shiny stones2change our future. Yes this time let us say clearly to our elders enough is enough.

Massive protest over rape and molestation is spreading across the state on Saturday. Tinsukia police have arrested five persons for gangraping a 13-year-old girl on Friday. A lower court in Lakhimpur has jailed a CRPF jawan on Friday charging him with raping a physically challenged woman on Thursday. Three of his colleagues are on the run. The incident took place at Chauldhowa village. According to eyewitness, about four CRPF personnel forcibly took the physically challenged woman, who was passing by the CRPF camp on NH 52 in the area to the nearby jungle. Some locals raised an alarm. While they managed to catch Mohan Singh, the others fled. The victim has been sent for medical examinations.
