Namrata Nath secures 6th position in HS Science

Kokrajhar: Namrata Nath of Bongaigaon Refinery HS School, Dhaligaon,Chirang has brought enthusiastic laurel in Dhaligaon as well BTAD region, spotted in the 6th position in Science Stream in the HS final examination’s results declared on Saturday.

 Namrata, daughter of Bhabananda Nath and Buli Rani Kakati Nath, an employee of BRPL,Bongaigaon, has passed the HS(Science) scripting 6th position, has secured 472 marks having letter marks in all subjects.

School authority and Inspector of Schools,Chirang offered warm welcome and felicitated to Namrata following her great achievement with traditional Aronai and bouquet at the school.  

Amongst four districts in BTAD region, Chirang has secured highest 93.76% pass percent in Commerce and Baksa secured 92% and 76.77% pass percent in Science and Arts stream respectively making little improvement comparatively.

Kokrajhar district secured 66.25% (Arts), 68.83 %( Commerce) and 73.51 %( Science) pass percentage. Chirang secured 56.36 %( Arts),93.75%(Commerce) and 71.93%(Science).Baksa got 76.77%(Arts), 88.89%(Commerce) and 92%(Science). Udalguri secured 62.01 %( Arts), 87.15 %( Commerce) and 79.55 %( Science) respectively.

UN Academy,Kokrajhar(HS) secured 100% cent percentage pass in Arts and Science stream in HS final examination’s result declared.

In Arts, 68 in first, 91 in second and 15 students pass in third division respectively. In Science, 49 in first, 79 second and 9 students pass in third division respectively.

Science College, Kokrajhar has secured 86% pass percentage in the HS final examination. A total 94 students pass out of appeared 109, 34 in first, 55 second and 5 in third divisions respectively.

Meanwhile, the Upendra National Academy(UN), Kokrajhar, a private managed Bodo medium school have offered warm welcome and felicitation to the passed out students in HSLC and HS final examination-2019 at a programme held at UN academy complex here in Kokrajhar on Saturday. The programme saw large number of participation from student and parents that look healthy attraction among the audience.

The UN Academy has been doing better results among Bodo medium schools across the state in HSLC and HS final examinations as student’s enrolments are increasing year by year.

UN academy secured 89% pass percentage in HSLC and 100 % cent percent results in HS final examinations.

The UN Academy has been felicitating the successful students every year and conferred student’s excellence awards those students have made better results in the schools in final examinations.Each of student was felicitated with traditional Aronai, cash money and gift items on the occasion.

Inspector of Schools, Kokrajhar, Jagadish Prasad Brahma, ex Rajya Sabha MP UG Brahma, Prof Omkar Sarma, principal of the Academy, Krishna Gopal Basumatary, Director of the UN academy, ABSU leader Khwrwmdao Wary  were prominent attendees on the occasion.

Director of the UN academy Krishna Gopal Basumatary told that the UN academy conferred the students excellence award those have performed better results in the final examinations besides felicitating the passing out students of HSLC and HS final examinations. He said that the academy was rendering quality educational services in the school to bring better results since its inception in Bodo medium. He has expressed his hopeful that the academy will be able to make top rank in coming days.

A five-day mountaineering training program, organized by the Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare department of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) government, begins on Thursday at the Dangdupur Hills Site in Kokrajhar. On Friday, the government of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) observed the third BTR Peace Accord Day as "Day of Peace" on Friday.  A massive bike peace rally was held in Kokrajhar, the "City of Peace." Three individuals, including former MLA and senior BPF (Bodoland People's Front) leader Hitesh Basumatary, were arrested by police in Baksa district after a search operation at Basumatary's residential complex resulted in the recovery of a large cache of illegal arms and ammunition. The recovered items included an AK rifle, an M-16 rifle, and 135 rounds of live ammunition. Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) team won the trophy defeating Lai Autonomous Council (LADC) of Mizoram 1-0 in the final match of inter sixth schedule premier league -2022 being held at SAI SAG center,Kathalguri Titaguri in Kokrajhar district. Sonam Basumatary of Bodoland Territorial Region scored the lone goal against Lai Autonomous in 51 minutes of the second half. This led his team to win the tournament 1-0. Professor Indira Boro, head of the department of Bodo for Bodoland University, has been named for an award from the Sahitya Akademy for translation in Bodo language. Dr. Boro has been named for the translation of her book Hirimba (originally written in Assamese by Jayanti Gogoi) Presently, Boro is the head of the department of Bodo at Bodoland University. She has authored many books in Bodo language and contributed a lot to the uplift and development of Bodo literature. The Assam state election commission announced  the date and scheduled for the by-election for No.22 Koklabari constituency in Bodoland Territorial Region on 8th June. Addressing a press conference on Thursday, Assam's state election commissioner, Alok Kumar issued the notification for conduct the bye poll for Koklabari constituency in Baksa district with effect from Thursday.
