Bus accident at Sonapur on Tuesday eveing - One killed

Sonapur : One person has been killed and many injured when one bus and one truck collided at 8 pm on Tuesday at Sonapur near Guwahati in NH 37.

The person who has been killed has been identified as Dhal Chetri, Age 35 years. Many of the injured are in critical conditions and have been admitted to the Gauhati Medical College Hospital.

The critically injured people are Arun Vaidya of Sapekhati, Prakash Choudhury ( location unknown) . Sajad Ahmed of Bokakhat, Pranjit Dutta of Birubari in Guwahati, Daulat Singh and Mrs Pabitri Singh of Nepal.

Three persons died and several others have been injured when a powerful bomb exploded at Bhagagarh area in the city on Thursday. According to information, the blast took place at road to the GMCH at around 5-40 in the evening. The injured persons have been rushed to the Guwahati Medical College Hospital. The blast took place two and a fifteen minutes after the blast at Bhotnath area where equal number of persons were injured. Police say it a handiwork of ULFA.

One person was injured when a minor blast took place in the city's Birubari area in the afternoon on Thursday. According to information, the bomb was planted inside a dustbin which exploded at around 2-45 in the afternoon.The injured person was waiting near the dustbin.
