Buddha Purnima observed in Kokrajhar
Kokrajhar: Along with rest of the state, the Buddha Purnima was observed at Bodoland Buddhist Park temple and Saralpara with colourful programme scheduled in Kokrajhar district today. The celebration venue saw huge participation of devotees on the Gautam Buddha jayanti observation.
The Buddha Purnima was organised by Bodoland Buddhist Park management committee to pay prayer and worship through the Buddhist religious mythology. Devotees from different areas participated to offer their prayer and worship to lord Gautam Buddha on the Buddha Purnima tithi. The temple saw beautiful with huge participation of devotees.
' I am attending the Buddha Purnima at the Buddhis temple to offer my prayer and worship to the lord Buddha on his holy day. I prayed for healthy welfare of my family and social uplift on the day ',said a Buddhist devotee.
At Saralpara along the Indo Bhutan border,the day was organised with colourful programme scheduled with festivity fervour. Peoples from all sections of society participated on teh day which saw an integration with festivity environment.
A religious ralat wad also carried out on the day to mark the celebration in which cultural troupe as well citizens participated.
