A three hour sit-in-demonstration was organized by AKRSU to put pressure government while solving the demands of the community.The agitators shouted slogans demanding early solutions of issue and demands of the Koch Rajbongshi community to gain community welfare and development in the region.
A memorandum was submitted to Chief Minister through Deputy Commissioner, Kokrajhar seeking early solution of the issues and demands of the AKRSU.
Hiteswar Barman, president of the AKRSU participating the agitation demanded early creation of separate Kamatapur state and granting of ST status to the Rajbongshis in immediate matter through political talk.
He has warned to take vigorous movement if their demands are not in earliest manner.
