NEW DELHI: A crucial Assam and Mizoram chief secretary level meeting in New Delhi on Tuesday agreed to maintain status quo along the inter state border.
Union home secretary Rajib Guba chaired the meeting which decided to defused the tension with a joint survey by home ministry, Assam and Mizoram officials.
Union home minister Rajnath Singh will chair another meeting of Sarbananda Sonowal and his Mizoram counterpart Lalthanhawla very soon to permanently solve the dispute.
