Crack on city flyover

Over 30 people had a narrow escape in Guwahati when the bus carrying them stopped just before overcoming a portion of a flyover which developed a huge crack on Tuesday.

It took place in the morning when the driver of the bus from Dibrugarh stopped as he came to spot the huge crack in the middle of the flyover at Eightmile area just a stone’s throw distance from Khanapara.  

This has forced the authorities to restricted the movement of all vehicles from early in the morning. 

Local residents and organizations blamed it all on the sub standard construction quality of the flyover on the East West corridor.

Government Extends AFSPA in Manipur Amidst Ethnic Clashes
