Kokrajhar: Despite counter insurgency operations, arms smuggling refuses to die down in BTAD areas. The Baksa police recovered two AK -47 riffles, live bullets and detained two-persons at Kataligaon near Mushalpur on Wednesday.
Acting on a tip off, the police launched a search operation in Kataligaon where two AK 47 riffles were dug out from the residential complex of Arun Rachiary. The police recovered two magazines and several rounds of live bullets along with the rifle.
Led by Pabitra Kalita, officer in-charge of Mushalpur police station, the team detained Arun Ramchiary and his associate Swmbwr Boro for interrogation.
