KOHIMA: Nagaland Chief Minister TR Zeliang is confident that the NPF will retain power to smoothly resolve the decade old political issue. After casting his vote at his local booth, he said, “I hope that polling will finish smoothly. My party will get absolute majority and I hope peace will prevail in the state & we will move for Naga political solution,"
Polling began on a dull note in the morning. But the turn out started increasing by 12 noon where altogether 11,76,432 voters, comprising of 5,97,281 men, 5,79,151 are exercising their franchise at 2,156 polling stations to decide the fate of 195 candidates in 59 seats.
