Chopper crashes in Majuli: pilots dead

JORHAT: Two pilots dead when the chopper in which they were travelling crash landed in Majuli on Thursday.

The incident took place at 1 in the afternoon as the IAF chopper left Rowiah on a routine sortie. All of a sudden, the local residents in Sumoimari area came to hear a huge sound in the sky when the chopper crash landed at an unmanned spot.

Police, civil and army officials along with the local residents in large number reached the spot. But by then both the pilots were charred to death.
