Arms smuggler held in Agartala

AGARTALA: Despite round-the-clock vigil in the run up to the assembly polls slated for February 23, arms smugglers seem to have moving in Tripura. Security forces captured an arms smuggler from Agartala railway station on Thursday and seized weapons from him in the morning.

 

Talking to www.assmtimes.org, police said identified as Naresh Chakma from Natunbazar area of Gomati district, 3 .22 made in Italy pistols along with 500 live rounds and a sharp knife were seized from his possession. During interrogation, he confessed to have from Dimapur by the Tripura Sundari Express.
