SC 'NO' to Rakes Paul's bail plea

NEW DELHI:There seems to be no respite for Rakesh Paul as the Supreme Court has declined the bail petition of the APSC chairman who has been languishing in the Guwahati Central Jail in a graft case.

A division bench of the apex court comprising Justice Deepak Gupta and Justice MB Lukur rejected his bail plea after hearing the merit of the complaint registered in the Bhangagarh police station where he was accused of accepting graft promising job of an agriculture officer from a candidate.

Paul s couple of months back procured bail in the notorious cash for job scam where he accepted money and resorted to forgery and ebsured ASC, APS job for 25 officers who have been sent to jail two months back.
