Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogai says the government could reconsider the ceasefire with NDFB if the allegations of masterminding the communal flare up in lower Assam’s Darrang and Udalguri districts and lower Assam.Addressing the media people on Sunday, Gogoi claimed that the situation is under control and has improved a lot. "We have reports that a section of NDFB cadres could be behind the ongoing violence and have directed the authorities to inquire into their possible involvement and if it is proved true, we will go to the extent of getting the ceasefire agreement cancelled," said Gogoi.He said NDFB cadres should be in their designated camps as per the ceasefire agreement and their alleged involvement in the violence was a matter of serious concern.
He further said Army and para-military forces have been deployed in the violence-affected districts and authorities have been directed "to take all possible measures to protect lives and properties of people.

If Bangladeshi can host Pakistanis flag and Tarun Gogoi and his party backs Bangladeshi as minorities and so called minorities can kill Boro or Ahom why can, the Bodo, Ahom or Mongolian groups can't host Chinese flag as they are our blood related brother and sisters. Fact is that Bangladeshi and Indian look alike. Assam will be better placed without Tarun Gogoi, Paresh Baurah, P Mahanta and all those who sell their own mother to be a minister or kills for money.

I agree with Tutu. If no strict action is taken then our home country will be full of jehadis. It was on the news that the Islamic groups wants to make Assam a Islamic state, therefore I request the defence department should take strict action.
Guwahati : Unidentified militants abducted Mr. Anirudha Tanti from Hirajuli Tea Estate last night. Anirudha is the son of Ex MLA and senior congress leader Bhimananda Tanti. He is an Assistant Manager of the Tea Estate. Anirudha was on the way to his official quarter, when he was abducted. Family member filed an FIR about his abduction this evening. Tanti is also the Vice President of Assam Chah Majdoor Sangha. Police are yet to confirm who is behind this kidnapping. Anirudha is about 35 years old.

Guwahati: Nearly half a crore/five million people were displaced in devastating flood in Assam. According to 2001 census, the total population of Assam is 2, 66, 38, 407 and floods have displaced about one fifth of the total population. Lakhimpur: The flood situation in the North Bank of Assam mainly the Dhemaji district has turned critical once again. Flash Floods in Ronganodi breached a vital dyke in four places of Lahimpur cutting off parts of Lakhimpur district and Dhemaji from the rest of Assam. The temporary Bailey bridge constructed by the Army for connecting Dhemaji has also been damaged once again by floods. Guwahati: Ceasefire with National Socialist Council of Nagaland has been extended for an indefinite period. A meeting was held at Circuit House, Dimapur, the commercial hub of Nagaland on Tuesday between the representative of NSCN (IM) and Govt. of India where it was decided to extend the ceasefire indefinitely. While NSCN President Isaac Chichi Swu and General secretary Th. Muivah led the hostile side, Union Labor Minister Oscar Fernandez and interlocutor K Padmanavaiah represented the Govt. of India.
